1. Be able to apply for (PAL) Possession and Acquisition License to buy guns and ammunition by taking the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, then passing the Canadian Firearms Safety Course test.

2. Be able to apply for (RPAL) Restricted Possession and Acquisition License to buy handguns and other firearms by taking the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course and passing the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course test.
After Step 1 ( PAL) or After Step 1& 2 ( RPAL) :…
3. Get an license application form after you have passed the test.
4. Get pictures with the correct dimensions to include in your license application form ( someone needs to guarantee that the photo is actually of you).
5. Have three references ( required in the license application).
6. Mail the license application.
7. Wait for your license ( if you get approved). This may take up to 6 months.
8. Buy your gun/ firearms and register them at the store you buy them from.
